Australian Collaboration and Agreements
Nanotechnology - Whole of Government Agenda
As with any new technology, governments provide a coordinated direction and sets of rules to support growth by developing policies and guidelines that address any associated opportunities and risks.
A number of Australian Government agencies, led by the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, are working to deliver a coordinated national approach through the National Enabling Technologies Strategy.
The APVMA is participating in this process through its membership of the Nanotechnology Inter-departmental Committee, the Nanotechnology Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Working Group and the Nanotechnology Communications and Public Awareness Network.
